Intro

Designer in the Monetization (B2B) org on the Measurement & Planning team. The M&P team owns tools for the beginning and end of the ad campaign lifecycle - planning campaigns up front, and then measuring campaign performance thereafter.

Role and Responsibilities

My role was to lead design for Pinterest Trends, a product dedicated to advertisers, merchants, and internal sellers. I was the original designer that kicked off a major product revamp through all of 2025.

Pinterest Trends

Overview

Pinterest Trends underwent an entire product revamp through all of 2025. What started as an internal hackathon project evolved into an all-in-one Trends platform dedicated to supercharging advertiser campaign toolkits. The product now houses multiple new trend-based insights, in which I took part in strategizing and designing.

My Role

I was the original designer responsible for kicking off the revamp at the end of 2024. Through 2025, I worked with 3 other designers to build a revamped Trends ecosystem from the ground up.

Leading with a hub-style landing page to introduce the revamped Pinterest Trends, which houses multiple new trend-based insights, including:

  • Trends in the Spotlight (Save-based Trends)

  • Shopping Trends

  • Search Trends

  • Editors’ Picks (curated by our in-house team)

  • Pinterest Predicts (annual trend launch)

Shopping Trends

A new product offering that creates a ‘shopping flywheel’, providing advertisers with real-time shopping-based trends to help inform campaigns and catalogs, which then feeds back to consumers.

First-of-its-kind shopping-based insights for specific product categories across a range of verticals.

Search Trends

Modernizing our existing search-based trends offering and adding new Moments-based functionality to help advertisers plan for key dates through the year.

Recognition

2026 Webby Award

On the design front, Pinterest Trends won a Webby for best Marketing/Analytics/and Campaign mgmt tool.

As such a design-driven effort, winning a Webby was incredibly gratifying and reaffirming.

Launch at Cannes 2025

Product debut at the Cannes Film Festival, with an intro from our CTO (see Newsroom article).

Our leadership team’s excitement every time we showed them the work was always a highlight.

My time at Pinterest...

Working at Pinterest was, in many ways, a dream come true - it's a true designers' company. From the product to the people, design is core to the DNA there, and getting to work within that culture was a genuine privilege.

Though my time was cut short in the February 2026 company reduction (15%), the work sharpened me in ways I'll carry forward - learning to balance measurable business impact with the level of craft and detail Pinterest holds as a standard.
